National Stroke Day 29th Oct 2021

Helena from the Irish Heart Foundation wants every one to be aware of the signs and symptoms of a stroke. Please read this article and know how to act FAST.

How would you feel if I said that in the time it takes you to read this article, you could lose two million brain cells?

Today, 29th October, is World Stroke Day. There are 1,440 minutes today. Taking three of them to read this email could help you save a life.

ONE: 1 minute to remember the importance of acting F.A.S.T.

When someone has a stroke, minutes matter: because two million brain cells die every minute after a stroke.

Know the signs of a stroke and remember to always Act F.A.S.T. if you or someone you love is having a stroke.

TWO: 1 minute to watch this video which shows the signs of stroke.

Act F.A.S.T.

THREE: 1 minute to share this article

You can also order a FAST wallet card, free posters and leaflets
Use them in your workplace or for you community. Email HERE and include your full address with Eircode in your email

In our world, there’s no such thing as ‘just’ a minute. Thank you for giving me three of yours today – they may help you save a life.
