I am looking forward to The National First Responder Conference Respond 2017. CFR Ireland are hosting its 4th national conference in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Saturday 4th March.
This conference is irgabnised by CFR Ireland and supported by the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) and the Irish Heart Foundation and National Ambulance Service.
The Keynote speaker is Prof Richard Lyon ‘Making the luck of the Irish – how to survive a cardiac arrest’ Prof Lyon is a consultant in Emergency Medicine in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, He has won numerous international awards including the top research award from the European Resuscitation Council. This much anticipated talk will be the highlight of the day.
As usual there are many excellent workshops. I always enjoy the interactive pit crew doing CPR with hands on practice. Their skills are usually superb.

-
CFR start up – All the information you need.
CFR’s play a vital role in responding to medical emergencies in their communities. They are there within minutes for emergencies such as heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest. This can mean the difference between life and death. Over 50 new CFR groups registered since 2016. These are well supported by the CFR Ireland and the National Ambulance Service.
It’s worth browsing in the exhibition hall as there is always good value when buying supplies manikins, defibrillators, books etc The main sponsors will have stands and you can discuss your training needs with them.
The conference is always extremely well run and a great opportunity to network as well as updating our knowledge. CFR Ireland always provide a very professional and enjoyable conference.
